Prince Charles was very emotional during his first meeting with his granddaughter Lilibet

The Prince of Wales had a very emotional first meeting with his granddaughter Lili and a special moment with his grandson Archie during the Duke and Duchess of Sussex's trip to the United Kingdom, a royal source said. The heir to the throne and the Duchess of Cornwall were absolutely delighted to see Harry and Meghan and their children again for the queen's platinum jubilee celebrations earlier this month.

Harry, who stepped down as a member of the royal family in 2020, had a difficult relationship with his father. He explained in a truthful interview with Oprah Winfrey, how his father cut him off and how Prince Charles stopped returning his calls at one point when he decided to leave the family.

At the Clarence House budget briefing, a spokesman for Prince Charles said it had been wonderful to have the Sussexes back in the UK in early June. It was fantastic to see them. It was wonderful to have them back in Britain. The prince and duchess were absolutely delighted to see them. The prince, of course, hasn't seen his grandson Archie in a while so it was very, very, very special to spend time with him. He hadn't met Lili, his granddaughter, yet, and so meeting her was very emotional, a wonderful moment.

Lili had her first birthday while there and also met her namesake great-grandmother, the Queen, for the first time.

According to several sources, Prince William, Kate, George, Charlotte and Louis have not met their cousins, Archie and Lilibet.
