Leighton Meester, the star of Gossip Girl, does not close the door to a return in the series

Since 2021, Gossip Girl is back (it is called Gossip Girl the Reboot). Not the same cast, not the same characters but always the same thread: the life of young Americans from posh backgrounds in New York.

 

Some fans of the first version were sorry not to see their protagonists on the screen anymore... But this observation is perhaps not definitive.

 

Leighton Meester, who plays Blair Waldorf, the star of Gossip Girl, was interviewed this week by ET Canada magazine. There, she confided that she is quite happy with the content of the Gossip Girl sequel - the new version is really great, they're doing really well - and did not indicate that she is against her return to the series, although this has not yet been agreed or discussed with the production. You should never say never!
