The American billionaire rapper Kanye West has plans to travel to Russia, where he has ties to friends of Donald Trump, to give concerts and meet with Vladimir Putin, reported Monday the U.S. specialty site Billboard, citing his entourage.
He will spend a lot of time in Russia, which will be his second home, said one of the advisors of the rapper and producer, Ameer Sudan.
According to this relative, the music and fashion troublemaker is in negotiations to conduct business with Azerbaijani-Russian real estate developer Aras Agalarov, known for his ties to Donald Trump, and whose son Emir is a singer.
Kanye West, who recently legally adopted the name Ye, is planning a series of concerts of his gospel choir, Sunday Service, where he plans to invite Russian President Vladimir Putin.
Kanye knows better than the average human being what's going on and he's well aware of things. And it's not against the U.S. or to cause conflict, but Ye is Ye -- he can't be controlled, Ameer Sudan told Billboard.
The rapper, known for being the husband of another star, Kim Kardashian, from whom he is now separated, had supported Donald Trump in 2016, before running for president himself in 2020, collecting 60,000 votes in the twelve U.S. states in which he was qualified.
Having become a billionaire thanks to his Yeezy shoes with Adidas, the rapper made a religious and mystical turn, which led him to win a Grammy Award in 2021 in the Best Contemporary Christian Music Album category for his album Jesus Is King. His latest album, Donda, was released in 2021.
