Ivana Trump, Donald Trump's first wife, died of accidental injuries

Ivana Trump, the first wife of the former U.S. president who died Thursday, succumbed to impact injuries to the torso, New York forensic authorities said Friday.
His death was accidental, they said in a statement, without specifying the circumstances.
Donald Trump announced Thursday that Ivana Trump, 73, had died at home in New York. He had praised the great life of this former cross-country skier and model of Czech origin, who was his wife from 1977 to 1992. The couple had three children, Donald Jr, Ivanka and Eric.
In a statement to AFP, the New York police said they went to Ivana Trump's apartment after a call to the 911 emergency number and discovered her unconscious and unresponsive. Her death did not appear to be of criminal origin, law enforcement officials had previously said.
According to the New York Times, the police were looking to see if Ivana Trump had fallen down the stairs of her home in an upscale Manhattan neighborhood.
