Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson had a memorable night Tuesday night at the People's Choice Awards 2021 held in Santa Monica, California.

The 49-year-old superstar received the Personality of the Year award delivered by People magazine, from the hands of Jeff Bezos, the creator of Amazon, and dedicated the award to the boxing champion Muhammad Ali, who died in 2016, who was an inspiration for him and to a young teenager Shushana, who is involved in the Make-a-Wish Foundation program.

In introducing actor Dwayne Johnson, Jeff Bezos, 57, said, His achievements are legendary. His work ethic is unparalleled. He transcends all demographics. It's impossible not to love him and he has incredible strength. But even with all that, the thing that really stands out the most about him? It's his kindness... You see, kindness is a choice. And what I admire most about Dwayne is his choice to be unfailingly kind to everyone around him.

The wrestler-turned-actor paid tribute to Ali, who passed away at age 74 in June 2016. He recalled a meeting with the legendary boxer who himself had shown great kindness to him. He then presented his award to a young girl named Shushana, who has an illness and is an inspiration to her family, friends and surroundings.
