Revealed by L'Union this Thursday, June 23, the newspaper reveals that Radames Pera has been indicted in late 2021, for sexual assault and aggravated rape of a minor under 15 years, in France.

The information was later confirmed by BFMTV. Since 2017, the former actor has settled in Jonchery-sur-Vesle, in the district of Reims in France. He decided to move there to join his French wife, with whom he became the father of a baby boy in 2015.

According to L'Union, the facts of sexual assault and rape, revealed in July 2021, would have taken place on a little girl of 5 years. An investigation was opened by the prosecutor's office of Reims and then entrusted to the gendarmerie brigade of Reims. At the end of the year, a judicial investigation was opened and Radames Pera was indicted and placed under judicial supervision by the investigating judge.

According to Matthieu Bourrette, the public prosecutor of Reims, the judicial investigation was opened in order to allow long and thorough investigations to continue in a complex and atypical case. He then went on to explain that the person concerned, presumed innocent, has always denied the facts before the investigators.

The actor of Little House on the Prairie, who has no criminal record in France, has not been placed in pre-trial detention for the time being, as he is cooperating and responding to all the summonses of the justice. The investigation is still ongoing.
