Courteney Cox, the only one from Friends not to be nominated for an Emmy: It hurts

The series Friends lasted 10 years. During this time, all the main actors have been nominated for Emmy Awards all except one, Courteney Cox, the interpreter of Monica. She recently confided that it was a real wound for her.

In ten seasons, the actors of the series Friends have been nominated no less than 16 times for Emmy Awards. All but one. Courteney Cox, the interpreter of Monica, has never had this honor. Recently invited to the microphone of Howard Stern with Jennifer Aniston and Lisa Kudrow, she came back on this injury.

It always hurt me. When all the actors were nominated except me, it hurt my heart. I was happy for everyone, and then I thought, 'Oh, so I'm the only one?' It hurts. That didn't stop the star from being happy for her partners, I want them to win. I never wanted to take anything away from anyone. I just want to be a part of things And the girls and guys on this show have all earned their nominations. I'm in awe of their talent.

Afterwards, Courteney Cox still received a Golden Globe for her role in Cougar Town: The one thing that made me feel good - because they all won and got so many accolades - was being nominated for Cougar Town at the Golden Globes. That meant a lot to me. I wanted my peers to respect me, and I know the Golden Globes aren't my peers, but I thought, 'Here, this takes a little sting out of it.

The actress had received various awards for her role in Friends: a Golden Apple Award in 1995, the People's Choice Awards for Favorite Actress in a New TV Series also in 1995, and a TV Guide Awards in 2000.
