The guitarist star Carlos Santana was hospitalized after having made a faint on stage Tuesday during an outdoor concert in the northern United States.
The 74-year-old artist then told on Facebook to have forgotten to eat and drink water and to have been a victim of dehydration, which led him to lose consciousness. It's fine, we'll go quietly, he wrote to reassure his fans.
The musician was playing on an outdoor stage in Clarkston, nearly 70 miles from Detroit, when he found himself heat exhausted and dehydrated, his manager Michael Vrionis wrote on the guitarist's website.
Carlos was taken to the McLaren Clarkston emergency room for observation and is doing well, he added. A concert scheduled for Wednesday in Pennsylvania has been postponed.
Santana, born in Mexico, is widely considered one of the world's best guitarists and has won 10 Grammys, the U.S. music industry's top awards. It is with a group with the eponymous name, around the years 1970, that he revealed himself by managing to associate the rock and roll with the jazz come from Latin America.
