Brian Austin Green ill: the Beverly Hills actor lost 10 kg during a difficult fight

Brian Austin Green lost something like 20 pounds in a short period of time due to an inflammatory bowel disease. The star of the Beverly Hills series suffers from ulcerative colitis. It is characterized by a fine ulceration of the inner lining of the large intestine.

  

The star, who has been bedridden for more than a month due to his illness, spoke on Good Morning America Thursday. He was alongside his pregnant girlfriend Sharna Burgess. The 48-year-old explained that this battle with the autoimmune disease has been a really difficult experience.

  

Sharna had never experienced this, he continued, before his partner added, I didn't realize how weak it was until I saw him and saw his weight loss.

 

The actor has changed his diet to avoid gluten and dairy as much as possible to keep his seizures to a minimum. It's really just dietary, as long as I can keep things in my system that my body doesn't think I'm poisoning it with, then it doesn't fight back, he explained. I was eating food and my body wasn't processing it at all.

 

Sharna has been amazing. Six, seven months pregnant, she took care of my three young children because I was bedridden for a while, he said. The latter shares his sons Noah, 9, Bodhi, 8, and Journey, 5, with his ex-wife Megan Fox.
