It is a petition that is currently making a lot of noise on the Change.org platform. It demands that Switzerland expel from its country the alleged companion of Vladimir Putin.
We mentioned it a few days ago. The one that Russia nicknamed Putin's mistress, the former champion medalist of the Olympic Games in Athens, Alina Kabaeva is, according to several sources, hidden in Switzerland in a luxurious house with her 4 children that she would have had with the Russian president.
So far, the West has not sanctioned Kabaeva, who, in addition to being Putin's alleged secret companion, is also chairwoman of the board of directors of National Media Group, the television and newspaper giant that answers to the Kremlin.
But more than 64,000 signatories of the petition are calling for sanctions to be imposed on the Russian leader's wife as well, reports the Daily Mail.
The petition asks the Swiss authorities to examine very carefully the legal basis on which it is present in your country, and to verify the cleanliness of the funds used for the purchase of real estate in Switzerland, which this person uses.
We, the citizens of Russia, Belarus and Ukraine, who are currently undergoing immense suffering, unite to appeal to the Swiss authorities, says the petition, published on change.org in German, French and English.
The petition tells the Swiss: For the first time in modern history, your country has violated its neutrality, which it did not even do vis-à-vis Nazi Germany in the 20th century, and joined the sanctions against Putin and his surroundings. And now you are allowing his favorite mistress and her children to hide within the borders of your state.
