Amber Heard plans to appeal, but it could be very expensive: a bail of 8.35 million dollars requested

Amber Heard's lawyers said Friday that the actress will appeal her conviction after her defamation suit against her ex-husband Johnny Depp.

The legal teams of the two actors had met earlier in the day in a court in Fairfax, Virginia, initially to agree on a settlement. This meeting took place a few weeks after the media trial that opposed the two ex-spouses, during which Amber Heard was ordered to pay $ 15 million. Johnny Depp, meanwhile, was ordered to pay $2 million.

According to Deadline, the judge present at the meeting told Heard's lawyer, Elaine Bredehoft, that her client would have to post $8.35 million in bail for the appeal to be formally considered. Bredehoft, however, had previously stated that Heard was absolutely not able to pay the amount she was ordered to pay, suggesting that the appeal may not be affordable for her either. Neither actor was present at the meeting.
