After 18 years without an album, Tears For Fears is back with The tipping point

Steph Deschamps / February 21, 2022

It's already been a few months since we learned about the return of Tears for Fears after 17 years of absence with The Tipping Point scheduled for next February 25. And this Thursday, February 10, the band has shared the video of its new single, Break the Man.

This third single, co-written by Curt Smith and Charlton Pettus, and co-produced by Smith, Roland Orzabal and Pettus was previously unveiled last month.

This track is about women's empowerment: Break the Man is about a strong woman breaking the patriarchy, explained Curt Smith in a statement.

Many problems in our country, and even on a global scale, come from this male dominance. This time we bring up this woman who is strong enough to break that. To me, that would be an answer to a lot of our problems, a better balance between women and men.

Recently, Tears For Fears shared a new single entitled No Small Thing. After the release of the titular track in October, we discovered this acoustic folk track that, according to Roland Orzabal, is the perfect opposite of what we've wanted to do for years, which is a modern hit.
