Sylvie Claire / July 02, 2020
Three children under the age of five died Wednesday in a tractor accident in Canada. Three other children suffer serious injuries, but their lives are not in danger. Four adults were also injured, two of whom are in critical condition at the hospital.
According to Canadian police, the victims fell from the tractor, which was carrying pieces of wood and 10 people (four adults and six children) in its front shovel. For some reason still unknown, all of the people were suddenly thrown from the shovel.
The accident occurred in Notre-Dame-de-Stanbridge, about 55 kilometers southeast of Montreal.
The tractor driver, a 30-year-old man, has been arrested and is scheduled to appear in court on Thursday.
Police do not rule out driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
