Two young people, a boy and a girl, were killed and fourteen others injured during the night from Friday to Saturday in a shooting during an evening in the middle of the covid-19 pandemic in the state of New York, in the United States , police reported.
"We have a total of 16 victims of the shooting and unfortunately the injuries of two of them were fatal," Constable Mark Simmons told reporters near the scene of the shooting in Rochester.
The young people killed were between 18 and 22 years old and the lives of the 14 injured are not in danger, according to the same source.
Police officers dispatched to the scene found a "scene of chaos", with around 100 people running in all directions.
The party was held amid the coronavirus pandemic in the backyard of a house, according to the police officer.
No one has been arrested at this point and the exact circumstances of the shooting which occurred shortly after midnight were unknown, according to the police officer.
