Two World War II aircraft collided and hit the ground during an air show Saturday in Dallas, U.S. authorities said, though they do not yet have a casualty report.
A Boeing B-17 Flying Fortress bomber, and a Bell P-63 KingCobra fighter collided in flight at about 1:20 p.m., the aviation regulator (FAA) said in a statement.
At this point we do not know how many people were on board," added the FAA, which has opened an investigation.
However, Dallas Mayor Eric Johnson said on Twitter that "no spectators or people on the ground were injured.
Witnesses have posted videos of the accident, in one of which one of the aircraft appears to break up before hitting the ground.
Dallas Executive Airport, located about 10 miles south of the Texas metropolis, mentioned on Twitter an "incident" during a 1940s military aircraft show, organized as part of the long holiday weekend of November 11.
Fire officials said they were dispatched to the scene. But no further information was available at this stage.
