Perhaps the hottest temperature on Earth was recorded this Sunday afternoon in Death Valley, California.
At around 3:40 p.m. local time, the weather services recorded no less than 54.5 degrees in Death Valley, California.
Research is currently being carried out by American experts to confirm this measured record temperature. Still, according to Randy Cerveny of the World Meteorological Organization, that figure appears to be correct.
