The campaign site of US President Donald Trump, who is running for reelection, was briefly hacked on Tuesday, one week before the poll.
This site has been seized, indicated a message published for a few minutes on a page of donaldjtrump.com. The world is fed up with the false information that the President spreads every day.
The authors of the hack then claimed to have confidential information about Donald Trump and his government, and demanded the payment of cryptocurrency to reveal its contents.
A spokesperson for the Trump 2020 campaign, Tim Murtaugh, confirmed the hack in a statement and said he is working with police to find out the source.
No sensitive data was exposed because the site does not host any, he said, adding that the site had been restored.
