U.S. police have announced that eight people, including five children, were killed in a shooting inside a home in the U.S. state of Utah.
In a statement, police said Wednesday that the incident occurred at a home in the town of Enoch. At least eight people were shot, including three adults and five children, the same source said.
The police have opened an investigation to determine the causes of the incident, while no suspects have been arrested.
In the same context, the police confirmed in their statement that there is currently no threat to people living near the crime scene.
Furthermore, the police did not release any information on the identity or age of the victims, nor on the motivation of the assailant.
