Donald Trump's new social network, "Truth Social," will gradually go live this week and should be fully operational by the end of March, more than a year after the former U.S. president's exclusion from major platforms.
We're going to start opening up the app to people on Apple this week, said Devin Nunes, the head of Trump Media & Technology Group (TMTG), the parent company of the new network, interviewed Sunday on conservative Fox News.
I think by the end of March we will be fully operational, at least in the U.S., added the former congressman, who left Congress earlier this year to lead TMTG.
Truth Social was presented by Donald Trump as an alternative to Facebook, Twitter and YouTube, from which it was banned after the assault on the Capitol on January 6, 2021. It is accused of inciting his supporters to violence.
On Sunday, the application was marked Expected on February 21 on mobile application download stores.
February 21 is a holiday in the United States in honor of American presidents. Donald Trump and his wife Melania Trump are also planning to sell 10,000 NFTs on this date illustrating key moments of the former Republican leader's term in office.
