Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky called on the West to ban all Russians from their territories, in an interview with the American newspaper The Washington Post.
The most important sanctions are the closure of the borders, because the Russians are taking the land from someone else, said the Ukrainian head of state, referring to possible referendums on the annexation of occupied Ukrainian territories.
Russians have to live in their own world until they change their philosophy, President Zelensky added about closing the borders.
The Ukrainian leader further described the current sanctions as weak compared to the ban on Russian citizens for a year and a total embargo on Russian energy purchases.
Russian citizens can still obtain visas in the European Union and the United States, according to the BBC.
