The United States is bringing together some 40 allied countries in Germany on Tuesday to further arm Ukraine against the Russian invader, which has warned of a real risk of World War III.
The United Kingdom announced on Monday the removal of all tariffs on Ukrainian goods and a ban on the export of certain sensitive technology to Russia, in order to help Kiev cope with the Russian invasion. Tariffs on all goods imported from Ukraine will now be reduced to zero, and all quotas will be abolished, the British government announced in a statement. This measure is in response to a direct request from Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, the statement said.
Russia said Monday that it wants to continue peace talks with Ukraine, while warning of the real danger that the conflict could degenerate into World War III, a day after the visit of U.S. ministers to Kiev. While the Russian army said it had struck a hundred targets in Ukraine on Monday, including railway facilities in the center of the country, the head of Russian diplomacy Sergei Lavrov accused Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky of pretending to discuss with Moscow.

Lavrov accused the Ukrainian president -- a former comedian elected to the presidency in 2019 -- of pretending to negotiate.
