Since the war in Ukraine began just one month ago, Kiev has recorded the deaths of 135 children, the Ukrainian prosecutor's office said Friday. More than 180 children have also been injured.
Most of these victims were reportedly in the vicinity of Kiev and in the eastern regions of Kharkiv and Donetsk, although it is not possible to verify this information independently.
On Thursday in the vicinity of Donetsk, two children aged six and 13 were still injured in shelling, the prosecutor's office added. In Zaporizhia, three teenagers were seriously injured by a mine explosion. The prosecutor's office also reported that more than 560 schools were destroyed, including more than 70 completely destroyed.
