On Capitol Hill, an armed man was arrested, while in Michigan, another young man, who was threatening to commit an attack, was also deprived of his freedom.
As the American capital prepares for a high-tension evening following the presidential elections, several incidents have already occurred, notably in front of the Capitol in Washington.
According to BNO News, a man “smelling of fuel” and carrying a torch and flare gun (which sends up flares) was arrested on Capitol Hill.
In Michigan, a 25-year-old man was also arrested after threatening to carry out an attack in the event of a Donald Trump victory, reports CNN.
The young man, named Isaac Sissel, sent his threat to the FBI's National Threat Operations Center in West Virginia. In it, he asserted that he would “lead an attack on Christian conservative filth should Trump win the election”.
“I have a stolen Ar15 and a target I refuse to name so I can continue to carry out my plans,” the threatening letter further states. “Without a specific victim or the ability to find where I have hidden the weapon, there is nothing the FBI can do until I complete the attack,” it continues.
