A passenger train overturned this Friday, June 3, 2022 in Germany, in the province of Bavaria. For the moment, the circumstances of the accident remain unknown.
The train accident occurred in the middle of the day near Garmisch-Partenkirchen in Bavaria. A part of the train would have gone down before completely derailing, reports the AFP quoted by several media. At least four people died and several others were injured as a result of the accident.
The train was running on the classic connection between Garmisch and Partenkirchen when it derailed at Burgrain. Rescue operations are still underway in the middle of the afternoon. About 30 passengers were injured, some of whom had to be hospitalized. 15 seriously injured were hospitalized in nearby hospitals, the local police reported on social media.
Images of the downed cars are circulating on social networks and testify to the violence of the accident.
According to German media, three helicopters from Austria are currently being used for rescue operations. For the moment, the circumstances of the accident remain unknown.
