An expert on the British crown accuses the Cambridges of having done nothing to facilitate the meeting of George, Charlotte and Louis with Prince Harry's daughter, Lilibeth.
One-year-old Lilibeth has finally met her paternal family, including Queen Elizabeth II. Yet, according to British royalty expert Christopher Andersen, this was no easy task. William and Kate made no effort to introduce Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis to Lilibeth, the expert tells US Weekly. Present in England for the jubilee of her great-grandmother, the daughter of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle met the rest of her family at a dinner in Windsor.
The tensions between William and Harry would still not be calmed, still according to the expert. As far as we know, they have not had a private conversation, nor a one-on-one moment, says Christopher Andersen. A persistent rumor is that Harry and Meghan invited William and Kate to Lilibeth's birthday party, but the invitation was reportedly declined.
The mixed reception received by the couple at a church service celebrating 70 years of Elizabeth II's reign would have pushed the Sussexes to cut short their trip to the UK. They returned to California to celebrate their daughter's first birthday in privacy.
