Twenty departments have been placed on the alert orange storms by Météo France, this Friday, June 26.
Météo France placed twenty departments of the Southwest and the Center in orange vigilance this Friday, June 26. The departments concerned are: Haute-Garonne, Tarn-et-Garonne, Aveyron, Gers, Lot, Lot-et-Garonne, Loiret, Cher, Indre, Allier, Loire , Creuse, Haute-Vienne, Corrèze, Haute-Loire, Cantal, Puy-de-Dôme, Dordogne, Tarn and Seine-et-Marne.
According to the bulletin of the meteorological institute, vigilance will begin at the end of the afternoon this Friday.
Météo France forecasts strong electrical activity, violent gusts, intense rain and a risk of hail in these departments. Wind gusts of up to 90/100 km / h, locally 110/120 km / h. The heavy precipitation associated with these storms could reach 30 to 50 mm per hour. Météo France specifies that the storms will be "fairly mobile". This situation should improve during the first part of the night.
In addition, Météo France is alerting to an ongoing heat peak in the Lyon region.
