After a twelve-year absence, the heroines of “Desperate Housewives” will finally reunite to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the cult series. Eva Longoria, aka Gabrielle Solis, announced this long-awaited reunion during an interview in Cannes.
On October 3, 2004, the small screen met four women whose lives would captivate viewers: Gaby (Eva Longoria), Lynette (Felicity Huffman), Bree (Marcia Cross) and Susan (Teri Hatcher). The series ran for eight seasons and left its mark on audiences with the exciting adventures of its heroines.
This year marks the twentieth anniversary of the iconic soap, an ideal opportunity for the four protagonists to reunite and celebrate this long-awaited event. Since 2012, “Desperate Housewives” fans have been eagerly awaiting a reunion moment between the four Fairview icons. And Gabrielle Solis' interpreter, Eva Longoria, has put an end to that wait.
During an interview with Canal+ in Cannes, she shared the news: “I miss playing Gaby, I miss Wisteria Lane... It's one of the best experiences of my career,” she confided. She then added: “This year, we're celebrating 20 years of ‘Desperate Housewives’. So we're going to have a special reunion.
Eva Longoria has made it clear that this will not be a “spin-off”, but a one-off event. As yet, none of the other actresses has confirmed this announcement, and it remains to be seen on which channel or platform this reunion will be broadcast, as well as the precise date of the event.
