During his last public appearance with the Palestinian president, Vladimir Putin's physical appearance was questionable. The Russian president appeared unrecognizable with a bloated face. Would he have undergone plastic surgery?
This Tuesday, November 23, Russian President Vladimir Putin received the Palestinian President, Mahmoud Abbas, in Sotchy during a meeting at the residence Bocharov Ruchei. But it is not so much this meeting that caused reactions, it is rather the physical appearance of the President of Russia.
Vladimir Putin, 69 years old, appeared with a particularly puffy face. Plastic surgery operation or allergic reaction? During the 2018 election campaign, the Russian president had already appeared with a puffy face, as stated by Clementine Fauconnier, lecturer in political science at the University of Haut-Alsace and specialist in Russia, on the set of C dans l'air, on France 5: During the 2018 campaign, he has hardly campaigned. He only did three minutes of meeting, where he arrived quite bloated. There were some questions about a cortisone use.
In November 2020, a political analyst had also told The Sun that the Russian president had cancer and had undergone surgery. His puffy face could therefore be linked to the use of certain drugs. Other sources, however, suggest that Putin is suffering from Parkinson's disease, pointing to his twitching fingers and restless legs in recent public appearances.
