The reality star Kim Kardashian urged the California court in charge of pronouncing her divorce from Kanye West to speed up the procedure, believing that it would help her husband to accept the end of their relationship.
Kim Kardashian filed for divorce last year after months of rumors in the press about her marital difficulties and the psychological disorders suffered by the rapper.
The artist, who has officially obtained to change his marital status to "Ye", opposes this separation and has called Kim Kardashian to reconciliation on social networks several times.
I am very much looking forward to being divorced, Kim Kardashian wrote in a statement submitted to a Los Angeles court on Wednesday. I asked Kanye to keep our divorce private but he did not, the 41-year-old star added.
I believe that if the court ends our marriage, it will help Kanye accept that our marital relationship is over and move on so we can peacefully raise our children, the statement said.
The couple has four children: two girls, North and Chicago (8 and 4 respectively) and two boys, Saint and Psalm (6 and 2).
The two stars, who started dating in 2012 and got married in Italy two years later, had quickly become one of the most high-profile couples in the world.
But their union has suffered in particular from Ye's unpredictable outbursts, who suffers from bipolar disorder.
I wish our marriage could have worked but I realized there is no way to fix it, writes Kim Kardashian.
