Since 2020, the novelist has been accused of transphobia after sharing an article on Twitter about menstruating people, commenting ironically, I'm sure we had to have a word for these people. Someone help me. Feum? Famme? Feemm?.
With her comments, she had attracted the wrath of some Internet users. She has been the target of numerous death threats from, according to her, activists for the rights of transgender people. And this Saturday, July 2, the author of the saga Harry Potter has again shared threats of which she was a victim.
A transgender activist urged Twitter users to send a bomb to the author's home. The Tweet in question contained her family's address, a pipe bomb and the cover of a bomb-making manual. J.K. Rowling thus shared a screenshot of this threat dated June 14, complaining that the activist's Twitter account remains active, naturally.
This Saturday evening, a police spokeswoman from Scotland Yard confirmed that officers are investigating. Fiona McAnena, from the campaign group Fair Play For Women, told the Mail on Sunday: The fact that people can make public death threats without being bothered is a telling indictment.
Since then, the abusive profile seems to have finally been removed for violating Twitter's rules.
