For a decade" : it's official, the Harry Potter series is confirmed... with a guest star in the production

Max. That's the name of the new platform from Warner Bros. The merger of HBO Max and Discovery+ will be launched on May 23 across the Atlantic. The news was announced this Wednesday, on this occasion, the rumor about a series adapted from Harry Potter was confirmed. J.K. Rowling, the author of the novels will be executive producer. "Max's commitment to preserving the integrity of my books is important to me, and I look forward to participating in this new adaptation that will achieve a degree of depth and detail that only a long-running television series can offer," said the British novelist.
The platform announced in a statement, "The stories from each of the books will become a series for a decade." Each season is expected to cover one book in the seven-volume saga with a new cast to play the heroes. The Harry Potter books have already been adapted to the big screen. The first Harry Potter movie was released in 2001. The series concluded in 2011 with "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, Part 2," making it the most successful film series in history after the Marvel and Star Wars sagas. The eight feature films have grossed $10 billion worldwide.
Warner Bros pulled out all the stops for the new platform announcement. In addition to the Harry Potter bomb, the group announced a new prequel to Game of Thrones. A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms: The Hedge Knight takes place 100 years before the events of the original series. What to feed the saga after a first prequel, House of the Dragon, released in 2022 and which has seduced fans.
But that's not all, Max also promises a spin-off series from The Big Bang Theory. We don't know yet what's in store for this show. Another unknown is whether the service will be launched in Belgium.
