The singer Beyoncé and her husband Jay-Z both had a very bad surprise: their mansion in New Orleans went up in smoke on the night of July 21. Investigators are pursuing the trail of arson. What happened?
One of the properties of the mythical couple Beyoncé / Jay-Z went up in smoke in New Orleans. Their mansion, estimated at 2.5 million dollars and built in 1927, was attacked by flames in just a few minutes. The fire would have started around 6pmbefore the firefighters put out the last flames around 8:30pm.
But the worst was avoided as no injuries or evacuations were reported, as a fire department spokesman explained to the New York Post: If they hadn't responded in time (editor's note: the fire department), it could have been much worse. It's a historic house.
The cause of the fire is unknown, but investigators believe it was arson, according to the New York Post. According to the Post, investigators found books in the kitchen oven and a gas can in the house. The police department also received a report of a suspicious person in the vicinity at the time the fire broke out, according to the American media.
The two stars have not reacted publicly to the fire of this 1,235m² mansion that they acquired in 2015 at a price of $ 2.5 million. A historic property since it was built in 1927 and has 22 rooms, 7 bedrooms and 8 bathrooms, according to the American media.
