Actor Bob Saget, who played Danny Tanner in The House Party, died this January 9 at the age of 65.
Actor Bob Saget has died at the age of 65. The man was found dead in a hotel room in Orlando, Florida. He played Danny Tanner, widowed father of three girls in The House Party and was the fictional father of little Marie-Kate and Ashley Olsen for many years, participating in eight seasons in the years 1980-1990, the last episode of which was broadcast in 1995. A sequel to the series, Fuller house or The house party: 20 years later, had been launched in 2016 on Netflix and Bob Saget had taken over his role for the delight of fans.
According to the Orange County Sheriff's Office called about an unconscious man in a hotel room, no signs of foul play or drug use were found. On that January 9, Bob Saget was in the middle of a tour. He had just taken the stage for a show in Jacksonville, the largest city in the state of Florida, and was tweeting his joy at being in front of an enthusiastic audience. His social media profiles showed him still active a few hours before his death, even promoting his upcoming dates.
A friend of the stars, Bob Saget had a podcast, Bob Saget's here for you, in which he invited actor friends: the latest one, released this January 4, was with BJ Novak (The Office). Even if the famous twins had not accepted to participate in the new version of the House Party, they had remained close to the actor, supporting him for example in his charity projects. Finally, Bob Saget had been married for a little over three years to host Kelly Rizzo, twenty-three years younger than him, who herself enjoyed a large community of subscribers thanks to her online program Eat travel rock.
